Dumbarton Castle boasts some of the most stunning views in Scotland.

There is a panoramic view from the flagpole. Going east you can see the Erskine Bridge spanning the River Clyde and  beyond to Glasgow. To the west you can see Port Glasgow, Greenock and the hills of Argyll.

 

To help visitors to enjoy the Castle and its history to the full, Dumbarton Castle Society, in partnership with Historic Environment Scotland, are developing a Dumbarton Castle tour facility.
